Pause 2018 Motion Response studios announced

The Motion Response is Pause Fest’s signature initiative that allows artists to gain back the creative control, experiment, collaborate, learn new tricks, get recognition, valuable industry promotion and have fun in the process. Over eight years various studios have won eighteen awards and been shortlisted in highly acclaimed international festivals and award shows.

 

This year we received too many top quality entries that gave us headaches when choosing the top ten. Besides the quality, final curation for 2018 reflects various visual styles from parts of the world we never had before. We think that a diverse range of selections will give an edgy output as a whole – we simply can't wait!

VOID - Turkey

VOID E Lab Bau is a productive team of open minded people with an artistic approach to design and technology. Bringing enhanced interdisciplinary solutions to modern day problems with a futuristic perspective, VOID aims to turn radical ideas into artistic abstractions.  Under the roof of Bahcesehir University E:Lab, VOID operates in the fields of experience design, 3D-CGI animation/film design, video production, virtual and augmented reality practices, research and development, data visualization, interactive media design and applied technologies to fulfill the superior standards of different industries.
VOID Elab Bau has been involved in several national & international art/science/technology activities, made distinguished demonstrations and got awards in different cities of the United States, Europe, United Kingdom, Russia, and Turkey. Void’s audio/visual works were exhibited and received numerous awards in substantial platforms around the globe such as; Burning Man Festival (ABD), Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria), the Institute of American Indian Arts (New Mexico, ABD), Fiske Planetarium(Colorado, ABD), IMERSA (Denver, ABD), XI Experience Immersive(Geneva, Switzerland) and published in significant artistic websites and magazines such as Fubiz, WIRED, The Creators Project, DigitalArtServed, IDN.

JM Blay is a Director, Art Director and Motion Designer based in London. Blay has more than fifteen years of experience working in the creative industry on advertising, films, TV, video games and multimedia. He has worked for clients such as NBC Universal, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Marvel, BBC, Sony, Nikon, Panasonic, Lenovo, Adidas, Adobe, Citi Bank, or Activision among others. Blay also lectured in places such as Escape Studios – Pearson College (UK), Ravensbourne College of London (UK), University Of York (UK), Greenwich University (UK) or Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain).

Sept Putra is a Design Director/Art director/Motion Designer from Jakarta, Indonesia currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
